Identifying and managing partners / suppliers that can deliver Quality, Delivery and Cost expectations on a constant basis.

The successful candidate will support the business with the correct landed costings and BOM costing to ensure the target product margin is achieved.

The candidate will be a good communicator, managing suppliers and partners in various global locations to ensure Cost. Quality and Delivery.

Working closely with sales, the candidate will also support order fulfillment ensuring we have the correct product at the right time to achieve our sales growth.

Quality Manager / Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Manager to lead quality assurance initiatives across the procurement and distribution operations for our IoT and electronic device supply chain. This role is responsible for ensuring product and supplier compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements, managing supplier quality audits, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring that distribution operations maintain the integrity of sensitive electronic components throughout the supply chain.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of quality management experience in the electronics, IoT, or high-tech hardware industries.
  • Deep understanding of quality standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485, IPC-A-610, and ESD S20.20.
  • Familiarity with global supply chains, supplier qualification processes, and logistics best practices.
  • Experience with ERP and QMS tools (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Arena, MasterControl).
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
  • Knowledge of environmental and sustainability standards (e.g., RoHS, REACH, ISO 14001).
  • Experience working with CM/EMS providers and overseas vendors.
  • Hands-on experience in IoT hardware development lifecycle and DFM/DFQ collaboration.

 Quality Assurance in Procurement
  • Establish and maintain quality requirements and inspection protocols for incoming components and finished devices.
  • Conduct supplier evaluations, audits, and performance reviews to ensure conformance to specifications and standards (e.g., IPC, ISO, RoHS, REACH).
  • Collaborate with engineering and procurement teams to define and enforce technical requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Manage non-conformance issues, implement corrective actions (CAPA), and monitor supplier performance metrics.
🚛 Distribution Quality Oversight
  • Ensure warehouse and shipping practices comply with environmental and electrostatic discharge (ESD) standards for electronics.
  • Design and monitor packaging and handling procedures that protect product quality through transit and storage.
  • Oversee root cause analysis and resolution of quality issues related to logistics (e.g., damaged goods, environmental exposure, shipment delays).
  • Maintain quality control throughout third-party logistics (3PL) partners and distribution centers.
📊 Process Improvement & Documentation
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Quality Control Plans (QCPs), and Work Instructions (WIs) for procurement and logistics workflows.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies.
  • Analyze quality data and trends to identify areas for process optimization and risk mitigation.
🌍 Regulatory and Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and government regulations for electronic and IoT devices (e.g., CE, FCC, UL, WEEE).
  • Maintain documentation for audit readiness and support internal and external audits.
  • Ensure compliance with company and customer-specific quality agreements.
